Volkswagen has introduced the ID. Cross, an all-electric compact SUV built on the MEB+ platform. Advance sales have opened in Germany at an entry price of €27,995. The vehicle measures 4,153 mm in length, 1,794 mm in width, and 1,581 mm in height, with a 2,601 mm wheelbase. It seats up to five passengers and offers 475 liters of rear cargo space alongside a 25-liter front trunk.

The powertrain lineup will feature three electric motor output options—85 kW, 99 kW, and 155 kW (211 PS)—paired with net battery capacities of either 37 kWh or 52 kWh. The 155 kW version reports a combined energy consumption of 14.3 to 16.9 kWh/100 km, while maximum WLTP-estimated range reaches up to 427 kilometers. Using DC fast charging, the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 23 minutes.

Interior and technology equipment includes the Innovision infotainment system and fabric-covered surfaces on the dash panel. Available optional equipment includes IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, 3D rear light bars, adaptive DCC suspension, massage seats, a premium sound system, and Connected Travel Assist with automated parking and traffic light detection features.
