Volkswagen India today announced, its leading premium sedan, Virtus has
recorded its highest ever monthly sales of 2,453 units in the month of October 2025.
With a share of over 40 % of the Premium sedan segment in the last two months, the
Virtus remains an undisputed leader in the segment crushing the Hyundai Verna.
The brand also announced a significant milestone for India 2.0 cars, the Taigun and
Virtus that have clocked cumulative sales of over 1,60,000 units in the domestic
market. The achievement highlights Volkswagen’s growing relevance in India’s
premium car segment, driven by customers who prioritise design, driving dynamics,
performance, and safety.
Commenting on the milestone, Mr. Nitin Kohli, Brand Director, Volkswagen India

With both the SUVW and sedan complementing each other in appeal, the India 2.0
range continues to strengthen the brand’s position in the premium car market.
Sustained volumes of the Taigun and the Virtus’ rising share in premium trims
underline the success of the brand’s strategy to introduce globally benchmarked
products tailored for Indian customers.
