2017 Indian Scout Bobber is one gorgeous, purposeful and dedicated looking motorcycle has finally come to India
American Motorcycle manufacturer, Indian Motorcycle has just launched the 2017 Scout Bobber at IBW Goa. The Scout Bobber is the new addition to the Scout family. The bike is based on the standard motorcycle, with cosmetic changes and more rugged look.
Based on the standard Scout the Bobber also shares the same water-cooled 1133cc V-twin engine, with 94 bhp and 94 Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the Bobber now arrives with more muscular look with shortened fenders and lowered suspension at 25mm, with a revised riding position. Also, the front gets new telescopic forks. The mighty muscular Bobber now comes with thickset of tyres fitted as standard fitment.
The riding position on the new Scout Bobber is more forward biased. The choppy bike gets a tracker styled handlebars while the position of the footpegs has been pushed back towards the rear by 38mm. To complete the full Bobber package, the mudguards have been shortened. The Scout Bobber gets a new style badge on the fuel tank with black letters.
The bike is offered in Bronze Smoke, Indian Motorcycle Red, Star Silver Smoke, Thunder Black, and Thunder Black Smoke paint finishes, all of which feature blacked out panels on the fuel tank where the ‘Indian Scout” is housed. The headlamp gets a new shelter, new engine covers, small bar end mirrors, blacked out twin exhaust pipes and stubby tyres wrapped in new 8-spoke blacked out 16-inch alloy rims.
Also, it gets new two-tone genuine lather Bobber seat. Scout Bobber is India’s leanest machine to date and is a fun motorcycle to ride. The bike shares the normal Indian Scout’s aluminium frame, helping it to be lighter, with a fuel tank (wet), the motorcycle weighs around at 255 kg. Prices are competitive at Rs. 12.99 Lakhs.
