BMW K1600B and R NineT Launched in India At 2017 India Bike Week as manufacturer gets aggressive with its Motorrad plans

The frame finished in Aluminium Silver and running on white bodywork from front to rear. In addition, the 2-in-1 exhaust in typical café racer design shows that the technology does not have to hide either.

The typical café racers of the 1970s always featured analog circular instruments, and this detail is faithfully reproduced in the new BMW R nineT Racer while still making use of modern technology. The on-board computer provides a large and clear display on a segmented screen of the most important information such as time, active gear, remaining range, trip distance, service interval, average speed and fuel consumption.

Combined with a 6-speed transmission, the powerful air/oil-cooled 1,170 cc boxer engine produces an output of 110 hp at 7,750 rpm. The exhaust system has an electric servomotor and an acoustic valve for that sonorous boxer sound.

The K1600B, on the other hand, unites the comfort and touring qualities, the side cases are bolted permanently to the rear frame and exhibit an optimised geometry, a particularly deep body and a flat lid makes for convenient and effective loading with travel luggage.

BMW Motorrad 6-cylinder in-line engine delivers 160 hp at 7750 rpm, generating a maximum torque of 175 Nm at 5250 rpm. BMW K 1600 B have the riding modes ‘Rain’, ‘Road’ and ‘Dynamic’.

The instrument cluster of the new BMW K 1600 B has two circular instruments for the speedometer and engine speed display. The information display on the 5.7-inch TFT colour screen allows attractive visualisation of text fields and graphics, among other things. Elements of the integrated operating concept include the multi-controller and a menu guidance system.

The new BMW K 1600 B offers Shift Assistant Pro for shifting gear up and down without clutch operation. Additional Fog Light uses LED technology and Central Locking System and Anti-Theft Alarm System are part of the list.

Keyless ride, the Safety Package comprises of Adaptive Headlight and Daytime Riding Light, Hill Start Control and Tyre Pressure Control ensures maximum riding safety. The Touring Package includes Rear Gear and audio system complete with GPS device are part of the list. The new BMW K 1600 B also comes with engine protection bars, seat heating, Anti-hoping clutch as standard.
