2017 Kawasaki Z650 is all set to be the performance benchmark in the segment and offers oodles of practicality

The Z650 is finally here and is going to be one of the best sellers for Kawasaki yet again. The comprehensive update to an already impressive motorcycle continues with this time as well. The motorcycle has everything this time. Brand new traditional styling along with new component, revised engine and much more when it comes to safety and features. The Z650 is surely India bound but the international and other Asian markets will get it first. Let’s find out what we have in terms of details.

2017 Kawasaki Z650 Design and Dimensions

Sugomi styling can be seen with the motorcycle. The new headlight and tank fairing look new. The tail has changed and there are no side panels. The underbelly exhaust remains the same as before with the last generation motorcycle. Overall design is in favor of Kawasaki and the motorcycle does look good.

2017 Kawasaki Z650 Engine And Specification

The engine is now a 649cc, inline 2-cylinder, 8-valve, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC unit that now produces 69 PS of power. The engine is now tuned for better performance in the low & mid range with power at the top-end as well. Engine should be high on refinement and will offer best in class fuel efficiency as well which has increased by 9%. The engine is set to be EURO 4 compliant.

2017 Kawasaki Z650 Chassis, suspension and brakes

Z650 continues with telescopic front forks at the front and rear shock is now more traditional unit. The side mounted shock is gone. Dual disc brakes at the front with Nissin callipers can be seen. Chassis is all new tubular frame and it is 10 kgs lighters than the previous naked 650 version.

2017 Kawasaki Z650 Price and Launch

India launch should happen in 2017. and prices will be around Rs. 4.5 lakhs ex-showroom most likely nationwide.

2017 Kawasaki Z650 Safety and Features

ABS will be standard on this motorcycle. Don’t expect riding modes or traction control. Features list will include all new LCD cluster with shift-gear lights and much more daily information.
