Hyundai Motors had announced earlier that they will be launching eight new products by the year 2020 in the Indian market. These new products also include the launch of five new generation models. Out of which the 2019 Grand i10 is one of them, and this upcoming hatchback has been spotted doing testing runs in Pune. Like last time seen on the i20. The Grand i10 fuel economy ratings will be different for top and base variant as the wheel size options could be 14 and 16-inch, which does make a difference.

Back in 2013 Hyundai had first launched the new Grand i10 in India and after two years it received its first facelift. As of now, the Korean car manufacturer is working on the upcoming Grand i10 and it will most probably get a new platform and an all-new chassis.

Looking at the spy pictures and comparing it with the current generation Grand i10 we get to know that, Hyundai is offering this model with a more sporty design. Also, this upcoming hatchback gets bigger windows and it looks bigger and wider than the model which is on sale currently.

Inspired by the new age Hyundai cars, it gets the hexagonal grille. In addition to this, the front fascia and the rear also seems to be overhauled. At the rear, the tail lamp looks wider and the hatch door is redesigned.

As we see that, the all-new 2019 Grand i10 looks wider and bigger than the current model on sale, the interiors will indeed be more spacious and will offer wider leg room and more headroom. Hyundai may also equip this hatchback with modern features such as a new instrument cluster with MID, a touchscreen infotainment unit that could be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

As of now there is no clarification what will be under the hood of the 2019 Grand i10. But it is expected that Hyundai will power this upcoming hatchback with a 1.2-litre petrol mill. This four-cylinder kappa engine can generate 83 PS of power and 113.6Nm of twist. Also, a 1.2 litre CRDi diesel engine is expected, that can produce 75PS of power and 190Nm of twist.

The petrol mill is expected to get the five-speed manual gearbox and an optional four-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the diesel mill will only be offered with a five-speed manual gearbox.

We can expect Hyundai to offer the 2019 Grand i10 with a price tag ranging from 6-8 lakhs. With the launch of the new generation Grand i10, Hyundai aims to further increase the sales of this hatchback, which should happen in October-November 2019.
