2019 Dacia Duster spied for the first time which looks familiar to its current version and should be an evoluintary product

The next gen 2018 Renault Duster has been spied testing in Spain. The new plant which will commence operations in October will see an investment of 10 million euro’s. The new plant will be opened at a location between Pitesti and Mioveni. Thanfully, we won’t have to wait much longer for its successor as the second generation is expected to debut later this year.

The newer version is said to be longer than its predecessor and will be available in 5 and 7 seat versions. It seems that 2018 Duster adopts an evolutionary design and carries same proportions as the outgoing model. The next gen Renault Duster will be made in two versions, one designed with an urban theme and the other one designed with an off-road theme.

The car is set to debut in Frankfurt with updates such as revised roof-rails, new alloy wheels, Easy-R and updated interior colour theme. The newer Duster is longer than its older version by 15 cm. The new gen Renault Duster will be a completely new product as it will receive and all new design and engine set-up. The Duster 7 seat version with, two additional rear seats, will become a proper C-segment vehicle which makes it a lot more practical family vehicle.

The 2018 Duster will sit on the updated BO platform. The SUV will be first launched in the European market, and then in India in early 2019. With the additional rear seat arrangement, new engine set-up and styling the new Renault Duster 2017 will cost a bit higher than the outgoing model, and will be priced between INR 9 -14 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).

The Euro-spec Duster will carry a 1.2-litre TCe petrol engine producing 124 bhp and a 1.6-litre diesel engine producing 130 bhp. Transmission duties will be carried out by a manual and EDC automatic gearbox. However technical aspects for the Indian-spec version haven’t been revealed yet.
