There was more than just the Octavia RS 245 in the Skoda stable. Here we are talking about something more mature, a bit more laid-back, the Skoda Superb. The Superb receives a redesigned front bumper, a refreshed grille and sports more chrome between the LED tail-lights. In the entire Skoda range, the new Superb stands as the first car to get all-LED Matrix headlight units.

The Superb Sportline and the fully-loaded Superb Laurin & Klement were set at the Auto Expo 2020 display. Heading in the car, we see a new Virtual Cockpit digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone charging and an updated infotainment system. Expect a few more addons and updated interior trim for increased comfort.

Under the hood of the 2020 Skoda Superb Facelift India version is a BS6 compliant, 2.0-litre TSi turbo-petrol engine that has replaced the BS4-compliant 1.8-litre TSi petrol motor. The new mill makes 190bhp and 3201Nm of torque and is mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic. Yes, the gearbox has been carried over from the previous-gen model.

Skoda has planned to serve only petrol variant for India, no diesel variant will be available. Alongside the Octavia RS, BS6 Rapid and the Karoq, Skoda will put a sticker price of Rs 25.99 lakh to 30.99 lakh, a slight price hike compared to the outgoing model is expected.
