Kawasaki announces the launch of a new MY23 Ninja 650 updated with the KRTC (Kawasaki Traction Control) feature. The Ninja 650 will be available in “LIME GREEN” and the price will be starting at INR 7,12,000/-(Ex-Showroom). Prices have gone up a full RS 1.12 lakh from the MY2022 model which cost RS 6.10 lakhs at launch. Kawasaki Ninja 650 is one very good all-rounder bike that we tested time and again over the years. Kawasaki Ninja 650 has 68 PS of power. Back in 2020, the Ninja 650 had 72 PS of power. The Versys 650 also went down to 66 PS from 69 PS. All these cuts down are largely due to meeting strict emission BS6 emission norms.

Kawasaki’s sport and supersport motorcycle line-up is back stronger than ever for 2023 with several models set to hit dealerships soon. After Versys 650 KRTC upgradation, Ninja 650 is also equipped with Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) in the 650-cc segment. Kawasaki’s advanced traction control system provides both enhanced sports riding performance and peace of mind under certain conditions to negotiate low-traction surfaces with confidence.

The KRTC system looks at several parameters to get an accurate real-time picture and allows riders to select between two modes to suit their riding situation and preference. Mode 1 is the least intrusive, helping to manage traction during cornering and is designed with sport riding in mind. In Mode 2, intervention occurs earlier, meaning when excessive wheel spin is detected the engine output is reduced to allow grip to be regained. This helps riders navigate wet pavement or bad stretches of road. Additionally, riders may elect to turn the system off.
