Bajaj Auto Ltd., the most valuable two-wheeler and three-wheeler company in the world, today announced significant upgrades across its entire Chetak portfolio. Chetak, which is known for its legendary toughness and reliability, aptly called ‘Fully Lifeproof’, now also raises the bar on technology and connectivity features. Chetak’s portfolio of electric scooters will now follow a new ‘C Series’ nomenclature and be available as C 35, C 30 and C 25 series.
The flagship C 35 01 now comes equipped with Google Maps navigation, integrated into the Chetak App – an upgrade driven by strong consumer demand for a more familiar and seamless navigation experience.
Top Speed has been increased across all models, the C 35 01, and C 35 02 now deliver a top speed of 80 km/h (up from 73 km/h), C 35 03 and C 30 01 deliver a top speed of 70 km/h (up from 63 km/h), and the new C 25 01 now delivers a top speed of 60 km/h (up from 55km/h), enhancing real-world ride performance. Motor output has increased from 4.5 kW to 4.8 kW for the flagship model, enabling a more responsive and refined riding experience. Additionally, the charging time (0-80%) for the C 30 01 has been reduced to 2 hours and 55 minutes, down from 3 hours and 50 minutes.
Features such as Ride Modes (Sports and Eco), and Hill Hold Assist, previously offered as paid add-ons, are now integrated as standard on the C 35 and C 30 series, thereby enhancing rider comfort and convenience.
Updates to C 35 01 and C 35 02 will now be made Over the Air (OTA), enabling customers to receive continuous software enhancements, performance optimizations, and new features remotely, without the need to visit a service center, ensuring their scooter stays up-to-date with the latest improvements.
