Kawasaki has rolled out significant updates to the 2026 Z900RS, and while it might not look drastically different at first glance, there are some noteworthy enhancements under its classic exterior, which pays homage to the iconic Z1 from the 1970s. This model now incorporates Ride-by-Wire technology with an electronic throttle, cruise control, and electronic throttle valves. Additionally, it introduces an IMU-based rider assistance system boasting features like the Kawasaki Cornering Management Function and a two-way electronic Quick Shifter. The in-line four-cylinder engine has been fine-tuned for enhanced low-end smoothness while retaining its spirited performance at higher revs, complemented by a revamped megaphone exhaust that delivers a more vibrant sound.

The front braking setup includes radial calipers paired with 300 mm discs. The standard seat height is set at 835 mm, with the option for a lower 810 mm seat available for those who prefer it. At the pinnacle of the range is the Z900RS SE, which boasts Brembo brakes, Öhlins suspension, and a convenient USB-C port, all highlighted by its striking Metallic Spark Black finish. The Z900RS family can be found in two configurations: 70 kW and 35 kW.
