2024 Range Rover Evoque Facelift is one of the few entry level premium SUV’s left in the Indian market with a twist. The revamped minimalist interior, practicality, and driving dynamics, ultimately praising it as a highly capable, stylish, and efficient everyday luxury compact SUV. Why the twist? The Evoque is the only SUV in this segment that is left with unique styling and bespoke story along with a story to tell. The German competitors come every three years and make noise and are refreshed again.

In November 2011 The Range Rover Evoque made its grand entrance in India, available in both 3-door coupe and 5-door SUV styles. Starting at ₹56.91 lakh (on-road Mumbai), the 5-door Pure diesel variant was powered by a robust 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine as well as a dynamic 2.0-liter turbo-petrol option. In February 2014 at the Auto Expo 2014, Land Rover wowed attendees by unveiling an innovative 9-speed automatic transmission across the Evoque lineup, enhancing both performance and efficiency. In March 2015 The Evoque began being assembled locally at the Pune facility under CKD operations, leading to a notable price reduction—now starting at ₹48.73 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). In November 2015 The updated 2016 model was launched, featuring subtle exterior enhancements, including a signature grille and new headlights, along with the innovative “Gesture Tailgate” and an all-aluminum Ingenium TD4 turbodiesel engine. In March 2018 the introduction of the Evoque Convertible variant in India, priced at ₹69.53 lakh.

In January 2020 The all-new second-generation Evoque hit the market, inspired by the Velar design, boasting flush door handles, a digital cabin, and BS6-compliant Ingenium powertrains. In January 2024 An updated facelift arrived with a redesigned center console, a striking new 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen, and mild-hybrid technology, priced around ₹67.90 lakh. In February 2026 a milestone was reached when the first “Made-in-India” Range Rover Evoque rolled off the assembly line, further optimizing pricing and delivery timelines. The Evoque is the only SUV in this segment which has remained true to its form and function of well styled car with serious off-road capability for its class. Let’s see how it fares.

The 2024 Evoque introduces a major aesthetic facelift while successfully retaining its iconic core silhouette. The front fascia sports a new flush layout for the headlamps and grille, incorporating striking copper accents previously seen on the Velar and full-size Range Rover. The Dynamic variant features distinct hood ornaments and additional copper and black accents. The vehicle maintains a big, luxurious, yet compact appearance with black alloy wheels and red brake calipers. At the rear, it features flush tail lamps, updated badging, and a prominent skid plate. A significant addition is the flush, pop-up door handles that sit flat against the bodywork when locked or in motion.

Inside, the Evoque features a massive transformation aimed at a minimalist, tech-forward aesthetic. The dashboard has a flush layout with minimal physical buttons, centered around the new Pivi Pro infotainment unit that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

A premium Meridian music system creates a fantastic audio experience. Storage is practical, and the leather seats offer heated and ventilated options, though climate controls are now integrated into the touchscreen. The driver’s seat features electronic adjustments with memory functions. Additional tech includes a ClearSight digital rear-view mirror, a large fixed panoramic sunroof, and a highly customizable digital instrument cluster.Rear Seat & PracticalityRear passengers are provided with dedicated AC vents and controls, alongside ample legroom and knee room. The rear cabin offers good outward visibility, storage spaces, built-in hooks, and dedicated speakers. The boot space is accessed via an electronic tailgate and features a proper spare tire hidden beneath the boot floor, which is unique for many modern luxury vehicles.Engine PerformancePowered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-liter diesel engine with an automatic transmission, the Evoque delivers fantastic low-end torque, making it feel quick off the line.

Mid-range response is robust, and top-end performance remains great. The engine is highly refined, with its sound easily masked by music or conversation. Fuel efficiency is remarkable, delivering up to 19-20 km/l on the highway and 13-14 km/l in the city when driven in Eco mode. The vehicle also includes a comprehensive suite of driving assists and an Auto Terrain Response off-road mode.Ride Quality & HandlingHandling is one of the strongest attributes of the 2024 Evoque. The SUV feels taut, poised, and exceptionally stable, effortlessly absorbing bad roads and potholes. Steering feedback is praised for remaining light and precise at low speeds while gaining a reassuring heaviness at higher speeds. With excellent ground clearance and proven off-road capabilities, it offers immense everyday drivability.
