Launched on World Motorcycle Day, the 2026 Aprilia Tuono 457 Special Edition expands on the mid-performance naked motorcycle segment, paying homage to the 2006 Aprilia Tuono 1000R while adapting the 457cc parallel-twin platform for everyday commuting and road use. Priced at INR 3.99L ex-showroom Maharashtra, the motorcycle is available for pre-booking at select dealerships. The model retains the trusted 457cc parallel-twin engine, producing 35 kW (47.6 hp) and 43.5 Nm of torque, paired with a lightweight aluminium chassis, ride-by-wire throttle, and multi-level traction control. Additional technical features include a TFT digital instrument display with a 40-lap memory and self-diagnosis system, adjustable LED lighting, an immobilizer with an internally coded ignition key, and a warranty of 4 years or 48,000 km.
Aesthetic updates include the availability of Mamba Black and Puma Grey colorways, complemented by updated decals and a redesigned brand logo. The special edition also incorporates an aggressive smoked flyscreen made from high-impact material to reduce wind fatigue at higher speeds. Furthermore, the Comfort Pack focuses on everyday usability through raised handlebars that promote a more upright posture to reduce rider strain, a revised suspension setup with a softer initial stroke and preload adjustability, a seat featuring a high-resilience foam core to dampen vibrations, and an adjustable brake lever designed to improve modulation and braking feedback. A variety of accessories are also offered, including a quick shifter, TPMS, fork sliders, and a USB socket. 2026 Aprilia Tuono 457 continues to be scarcely sold and not so reliable option in the Indian market in front of the Royal Enfield 650’s and popular KTM’s.
