Adventure motorcycling enthusiasts have a lot to be excited about, as BMW is gearing up to introduce a phenomenal new middleweight adventure bike! Spotted testing internationally, this upcoming motorcycle to be named the F 650 GS—is designed to perfectly bridge the gap between the accessible F 450 GS and the powerful F 900 GS. It is poised to hit the absolute sweet spot for riders looking for the ultimate balance of everyday usability and thrilling off-road capability.
The bike boasts a striking, rally-inspired design that is sure to turn heads. It features a rugged stance with a tall windscreen, protective handguards, and BMW’s spectacular signature X-shaped LED headlight, beautifully inherited from the flagship R 1300 GS. Built on a brand-new frame, it is completely off-road ready. Riders will love the 21-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheel setup, paired with an inverted fork, an offset monoshock, and plenty of ground clearance to conquer any terrain with absolute confidence.
At its heart, we anticipate a punchy 650/700cc parallel-twin engine delivering an impressive 80 PS of power through a slick 6-speed gearbox. BMW is also ensuring this machine is packed with premium, rider-focused technology. You can expect a brilliant modern TFT display offering seamless smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, alongside advanced rider aids like switchable ABS, multi-level traction control, and multiple riding modes to elevate every single journey.
Set for a highly anticipated global debut in 2028, this brilliant new GS is expected to arrive in India with a competitive price tag of around Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). When it finally hits the trails, it will be perfectly equipped to confidently take on top-tier rivals like the Honda XL750 Transalp, Yamaha Tenere 700, and Aprilia Tuareg 660. It is shaping up to be an absolutely spectacular addition to the adventure biking world!
