India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. (IKM) has launched the MY27 Kawasaki Z650RS in India, priced starting at INR 7,83,000 (ex-showroom), with deliveries set to begin in mid-September 2026. The updated model continues to feature 1970s Z-series styling, including a classic round LED headlight, dual-dial retro-style instrumentation with a central multi-function LCD screen, and a slim 12-liter fuel tank. Available in the “Metallic Ocean Blue” color scheme, the motorcycle incorporates flat-spoke cast wheels, a compact horizontal tail, and an 800 mm seat height.
Powering the MY27 Z650RS is a liquid-cooled 649cc parallel-twin engine delivering 50.2 kW (68 PS) at 8,000 rpm and 64.0 N·m of torque at 6,700 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission equipped with an Assist & Slipper Clutch. The chassis utilizes a steel trellis frame supported by a telescopic front fork offering 125 mm of wheel travel and a horizontal back-link rear swingarm setup with 130 mm of travel. Technology features include two-mode Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), full LED lighting, and smartphone connectivity using RIDEOLOGY THE APP.
