Ultraviolette today announced that the Shockwave will be built
on the company’s newly developed 100V architecture and will launch in the first quarter of 2027.
The shift in architecture comes with the potential for stronger power delivery, higher thermal
efficiency and faster charging for Ultraviolette’s lightweight motorcycle platform.
The Shockwave (FUNDURO) was conceived as a lightweight motorcycle built around the thrill of
riding. Drawing inspiration from the raw and spirited character of classic two-stroke motorcycles,
it is Ultraviolette’s take on the pure, unfiltered fun of riding.
In preparation for the Shockwave’s launch, Ultraviolette has begun setting up its production line
within the company’s existing manufacturing facility. Ultraviolette officially confirms that the
Shockwave will be available in both single and dual-seat configurations.
Narayan Subramaniam, Co-founder & CEO, Ultraviolette said: “From the outset, we
envisioned the Shockwave as a motorcycle that would bring back the pure enjoyment of riding.
Bringing our 100V architecture to the Shockwave is an important step in realising that vision.
When it launches in Q1 2027, we are certain it will be an exceptionally engaging motorcycle to
ride.
The Shockwave and Tesseract have been in parallel development over the past year and
work is already underway to set up the Shockwave production line at our existing facility.”
The move to the 100V architecture follows Ultraviolette’s announcement that the Tesseract
would adopt the architecture.
While the two vehicles are designed for distinct riding experiences,
the advancement reflects the company’s continued investment in its electric vehicle technology.
Ultraviolette will share final specifications and further launch details closer to the Shockwave’s
introduction in Q1 2027.
