India Kawasaki Motors has announced the launch of the MY27 Kawasaki Z1100, which serves as the flagship model in the manufacturer’s naturally aspirated Supernaked series. The motorcycle is priced starting at INR 12,79,000 ex-showroom and is available in an “Ebony/Metallic Carbon Gray” color scheme. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026. This release coincides with the commemoration of over five decades of the Z series lineage, which originated with the introduction of the Kawasaki Z1 in 1972.
Powering the Z1100 is a 1,099cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine that generates 136 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 113.0 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm. The engine features a longer stroke, updated ECU settings, optimization of intake flow, and electronic throttle valves to improve low-to-midrange response while maintaining precise control across the rev range. The powertrain is paired with a six-speed return transmission equipped with an Assist and Slipper Clutch, alongside a contactless Kawasaki Quick Shifter that supports clutchless upshifts and downshifts.

The chassis is built around a rigid tubular diamond frame that utilizes the engine as a stressed member to optimize mass centralization and straight-line stability. Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm inverted Showa SFF-BP front fork featuring spring preload, compression, and rebound adjustability, complemented by a rear horizontal back-link gas-charged shock with adjustable rebound and preload. Stopping power is provided by dual semi-floating 277mm front discs with radial-mount monobloc calipers and a single 226mm rear disc, supported by Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires mounted on lightweight six-spoke wheels.
The electronic suite integrates a compact six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit that supplies real-time motion data to support systems such as the Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, Kawasaki Traction Control, Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System, and Kawasaki Engine Brake Control. Riders can utilize integrated riding modes comprising Sport, Road, Rain, and a manual Rider mode, alongside selectable Power Modes and Electronic Cruise Control. Vehicle operation and telemetry are managed via a 5-inch full-color TFT display featuring smartphone connectivity through RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE, which provides access to navigation, riding logs, and vehicle notifications.
