Honda is preparing for the release of the third-generation Amaze which is likely to make its Global debut in 2025. The model now has been spid testing in India. The current generation of compact sedans is already five years old and although the model had a mild update in 2021, it has started feeling dated in front of its contemporaries.
The 2024 Honda Amaze will be evolved version of the currently selling model and its design will align with the overall styling we have witnessed in the latest-generation Honda City and new Accord. This resemblance will give the new Amaze design lineage of the family that, in turn, will offer it instant recognition from prospective buyers.
Inside the cabin, the 2024 Honda Amaze will have a fresh scheme of interiors with a large, free-standing touch screen that is likely to take the pride of the place. Honda is likely to share the interiors of the new Amaze with its other models in order to keep the cost in check. In terms of the engine option, the new Amaze will come only with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine capable of putting out 90hp and 110Nm.
The engine will be mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or CVT automatic transmission. There won’t be any diesel engine on offer as Honda has already discontinued the production of its 1.5-litre diesel mill in India.
Whether the new Amaze will be available with CNG or not will be revealed only at its launch in 2024. Upon arrival, the next-gen Honda Amaze will continue to compete against the likes of Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura among others.
