From the time of its launch, the Ather 450 has been an Indian road icon, with performance at its core. Today, Ather is introducing the 450X Overtones Series. While retaining its sharp, futuristic silhouette, the 450 Overtones Series introduces a new tone-on-tone treatment on three colourways Still White, Space Grey and Lunar Grey. The 450’s ‘under-the-skin performance’ philosophy uses a modern play of textures to accentuate the scooter’s aerodynamic form.
Over the years Ather has been focusing on improving performance of the 450 product lineup through continuous improvements in both software and hardware. Features such as AutoHold™, Magic Twist™, and Multi Mode Traction Control™ have significantly improved the everyday riding experience. Earlier this year, we also introduced the Infinite CruiseTM on our 450X and 450 Apex fleet that was backwards compatible (for 450X and 450 Apex launched from January 2025). The Infinite CruiseTM enabled effortless cruising at high speeds on open city roads, superior handling and stability at low speeds on bad roads and seamless uphill and downhill gradability on hilly terrains.
At the 2025 Ather Community Day, we unveiled a host of new capabilities powered by Atherstack 7, the latest version of Ather’s proprietary software platform. Among them was the ‘Voice on Ather’, which allows riders to navigate, locate charging stations, and control key vehicle functions such as display brightness using voice commands, creating the foundation for a more intuitive riding experience. The experience is further enhanced with the Halo, Ather’s smart helmet. This smart helmet ecosystem connects your phone, scooter dash, and helmet for premium audio without uncomfortable earphones.
With Atherstack 7, the company also introduces a host of safety features such as the CrashAlertTM that detects accidents and immediately sends a text to the rider’s emergency contacts, ParkSafeTM where the Ather App warns the rider before parking in high-tow or theft-prone zones and LockSafeTM that allows riders to completely immobilize the motor via the app to prevent theft in open parking spaces.
Ather is also introducing a new 900W charger, reducing 450 charging times by nearly 30% to enhance daily ownership experience and convenience.
