Designed around everyday usability, the Oowah integrates features that simplify the ownership experience.Reverse assist makes parking and maneuvering in tight spaces effortless, while the distance-to-empty indicator helps riders plan journeys with greater confidence. A side stand sensor enhances rider safety, USB charging keeps devices powered on the move, fullLED lighting improves visibility, and generous under-seat storage provides ample space for daily essentials. Together, these features are aimed at making electric mobility more intuitive, convenient and practical for everyday commuting.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Hemant Kabra, Founder, BGauss said. “The Indian two-wheeler buyer is changing faster than most product portfolios have kept pace with Gen Z wants products that are expressive, contemporary, and enjoyable to own. With Oowah, we are introducing a new category that blends bold design with trusted electric mobility. It is a scooter that reflects individuality while delivering the reliability and practicality that riders expect from BGauss.”
The launch comes at a time when India’s electric two-wheeler market is entering a new phase of growth.Electric two-wheeler sales in India have already crossed 1.11 million units in the first seven months of 2026, while monthly market penetration surged past 11% for the first time reflecting the category’s continued shift from early adopters to mainstream consumers.
Most electric scooters in India today are positioned either as premium performance products or as value-firstcommuter vehicles. BGauss believes a third category is emerging with scooters that treat design and self-expression as core product decisions, while staying grounded in range, reliability, and price.
The Oowah launch extends BGauss’s product portfolio beyond its existing commuter and performance-orientedmodels, marking its first dedicated push into the youth and first-time buyer segment.
BGauss views this as a deliberate expansion, aligned with its broader strategy of building distinctproducts for distinct rider behaviours as India’s EV two-wheeler market matures beyond early adopters into mainstream and high-volume demand.
