Gulf Oil Lubricants, a Hinduja Group company, announces its exclusive partnership with Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd (PVPL) and Switch Mobility for special range of EV fluids. With this tie up, Gulf Oil will officially supply EV fluids to Piaggio Vehicles and Switch Mobility’s line-up of electric vehicles to improve their efficiency and performance. The launch event was graced with the presence of Gulf Oil Chairman, Mr. Sanjay Hinduja, and ace cricketer & brand ambassador Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Through this partnership, Piaggio Vehicles and Switch Mobility will have a direct access the complete range of EV fluids under Gulf’s portfolio. These EV fluids will be used by Piaggio’s EV Passenger & Cargo variants and Switch Mobility’s EV variants like Switch EiV 12 and Switch EiV 22 exclusively.
Gulf Oil introduced its wide range of EV fluids in September of last year, offering specially formulated products like: Gulf Formula Hybrid for EVs and hybrid vehicles as well as Gulf eLEC Coolant, Gulf eLEC Driveline Fluid, and Gulf eLEC Brake Fluid. In order to be prepared for the future in the sustainable mobility sector in India, Gulf Oil has also partnered with ElectreeFi, an EV SaaS provider, and Indra Technologies, a charger/mobility company based in the UK. With a vision to create a sustainable ecosystem and commitment to electric mobility, Gulf Oil also plans to further expand its business in Adblue and 2-wheeler battery segment.
In other, similar news, TotalEnergies, is launching new EV Fluid ranges in India for electric & hybrid cars and electric bikes. The new product ranges – Quartz EV Fluid for cars and Hi-Perf EV Fluid for bikes – have been developed specifically for drivetrain reducers, e-motors, e-transmissions and batteries in electric and hybrid vehicles. These custom EV fluids are designed with enhanced electrical properties against short circuits and static electricity and excellent compatibility with copper coils and new polymer materials used in electric vehicles. They are also produced with excellent anti-wear properties and high thermal resistance with ultra-low viscosity for protection of gears and bearings and optimal temperature control with efficient cooling.
