ChargeZone®, India’s largest EV charging network with over 15,000 charging points, today announced the launch of a co-branded Mega Charging Hub in partnership with TATA.ev at Khalapur. Located at the foodmall on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, the hub marks a key step in strengthening high-speed EV charging infrastructure across India’s strategic highway corridors.
Launched in 2025, TATA.ev Mega Charging Hubs are a strategic initiative by TATA.ev, India’s largest 4-wheeler EV manufacturer, to strengthen India’s EV charging ecosystem by energizing key highways and urban hotspots with high‑speed, easy‑to‑access, and reliable charging solutions. The Khalapur hub, built with a total capacity of 720 kW, is the 75th of a broader co-branded initiative between ChargeZone® and TATA.ev. This collaboration aims to deploy over 100 Mega Charging Hubs across strategic national highways, underscoring a shared commitment to bridging infrastructure gaps in intercity EV travel and supporting the sustained growth of EV adoption in India.
As EV adoption grows across India, expanding charging infrastructure beyond cities and onto highways is becoming critical to enabling seamless intercity travel. Addressing this need, the ChargeZone x TATA.ev Mega Charging Hub is designed to make intercity EV travel faster, smoother, and more dependable. The hub is one of India’s most powerful public charging installations, enabling up to 10 EVs to charge simultaneously at high speeds, reducing wait times during busy travel hours.
The hub features 5 dispensers with 10 charging points, delivering up to 360 kW in Boost Mode for ultra-fast charging. Strategically located at one of India’s most beloved highway pitstops, a vibrant travel plaza offering ample parking, diverse dining options, clean restrooms, and retail facilities, the Khalapur hub transforms every charging stop into a refreshing travel experience. Whether grabbing a meal, stretching after a long drive, or picking up essentials, EV users can do it all while their vehicle charges, making long-distance journeys not just seamless, but genuinely enjoyable. TATA.ev customers can additionally avail an exclusive discount of up to 25% at this station.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, ChargeZone®, said, “Highway charging is the backbone of intercity electrification, and that backbone needs to be built at scale and built right. The launch of the Mega Charging hub at Khalapur marks a significant milestone in our journey to build a high-power, future-ready EV charging network across India.
