Honda is working on a new adventure bike to compete with the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The brand has already applied to register its design for this adventure bike. This is the first time that Honda has expressed interest in entering the world of entry-level adventure motorcycles. The company is building this new ADV on the CB350 platform and from the looks of it, it is clear that its design is inspired by the Himalayan. The general silhouette has some similarity, but the final images of the product might say a little more.As for the powertrain, this new adventure bike will likely be based on the same chassis as the CB350. In addition, the air-cooled 350 cc engine is also likely to power this Honda ADV. However, the tuning condition and the gear ratios can be different.
The Japanese brand has also patented the front fairing of the motorcycle. This design helps add a protective structure that extends to the headlight assembly.The side frame also provides space for mounting storage boxes like those seen on the Himalayan.
Currently there are no launch details of this new Honda ADV, but we can expect it to hit the market in 2025. Like the CB series, this new adventure motorcycle is manufactured in India and sold in some other international markets.
