Honda Indonesia has taken off covers of their brand new concept SUV RS, when launched will aim to compete in the most hottest segment of compact SUV in India. Its direct rivals will be Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, etc. In the Honda line up, the new model will be placed below the HR-V in the brand’s worldwide line-up. The Honda SUV RS Concept-based smaller SUV will be the brand’s smallest yet. The concept has been developed as a joint effort between Honda R&D Asia Pacific and the Honda team in Indonesia.

The front end of the Concept SUV RS seems to have borrowed design clues from HR-V. The headlights are sleek with integrated daytime running lights merging with the mesh grille looks quite nice in the model displayed. The lower end of the bumper gets a silver skid plate to increase its SUV stance and overall gives a good bold look.

Towards the side is thick plastic cladding around the wheel curves and on the lower half of the doors. The diminishing roofline merges with the wrinkled window line giving the SUV a classy look. Then, at that point, theres the two-tone paint plot, silver rooftop rails alongside black wheels that add to its SUV appeal. Its the back Honda has added lively looking split LED tail lights. These are additionally bordered by a flimsy light stripe that makes the back look more extensive.

Honda hasn’t yet revealed the interiors of the Concept SUV RS but expects a simple and modern looking dash like the recently launched Honda Civic. The engines could be 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 diesel mated to automatic and manual gearboxes for the Indian market like City and Amaze platform cars. India launch could happen in the year 2023.
