Hyundai Motor India has launched the new Aura SX CNG variant, bringing a new option to its CNG range. The new Aura SX CNG trim is priced at Rs. 8.57 lakh (ex-showroom) and brings the CNG version in a more feature-loaded avatar. Clearly, Hyundai is trying to appeal to the private buyers with the Aura SX CNG considering the model was previously available only in the S trim that’s priced at Rs. 7.88 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Hyundai Aura SX CNG is fairly loaded and comes with all the essentials including 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a shark-fin antenna, a 5.3-inch digital instrument console with an MID unit, reverse parking camera and more. The model also gets a premium 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as voice recognition. The feature list also comprises smart key, push-button start-stop, power outlets and more.

Power on the Hyundai Aura SX CNG comes from the 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired that’s available only with the 5-speed manual gearbox. Compared to the petrol-only version, the motor is tuned for 69PS and 95Nm of peak torque. The new SX variant will compete with the Tata Tigor CNG XZ+ variant that’s fairly feature loaded. It also offers more features than the Maruti Suzuki Dzire VXI CNG variant that recently went on sale. The resurgence of CNG cars as a viable alternative emerges as fuel prices are skyrocketing. Hyundai is expected to bring more CNG variants of its existing cars in the coming months.
