Jaguar Land Rover India Extends Warranty and Service For Customers During Lockdown

The Indian auto sector is doing everything it can to make the lockdown more comfortable for customers with their services and warranties intact during this global downtime. However, with the lockdown extended for another two weeks starting today, Jaguar Land Rover India extends warranty and service for customers during lockdown. The standard warranty z extended warranty and free services have been extended further for customers for an additional two months/3200 kilometres.

In a statement, JLR said that its retailers will honour warranty commitment for two additional months for vehicles where “customer concern is reported and repairs could not be completed due to lockdown and the warranty would expire during this period.” The company is also considering those customers whose extended warranties are expiring Between March 23 and the end of the lockdown. These customers will be eligible to claim warranty on repairs up to 1000 km or 30 days after the lockdown has been called off.

Meanwhile, Jaguar Land Rover will continue to offer roadside assistance (RSA) to its customers pan India, in case of an emergency. The company has recommended not using the vehicle during the lockdown. It does say to start the car at least once a week to check the battery life. Furthermore, the automaker is allowing customers to book a service appointment online using JLR’s new integrated booking facility.

Jaguar land Rover’s dealer principles remain closed for now and do not expect sales to begin until the lockdown ends. The company has had a number of products for the Indian market launched this year right from the new generation Evoque petrol, Discovery Sport facelift to the all-new Defender that’s scheduled to commence deliveries towards the end of 2020. The Land Cruiser Rover Defender has also been serving with the British Red Cross and other aids across Europe in a bid to help relief aid reach those in need.
