65 is the magic number from Jeep that has kept under the blanket for the compact SUV, something that was told today as India Compass Production begins
FCA’s make or break model has been finally readied for launch. The manufacturer claims that the localization number now stands at 65%. The number should allow Jeep to make the Compass at an price that will translate into value for its customers.
The Compass is a critical product for the manufacturer as nothing in the past has worked for its from its entire group. The Compass has been in the news for some news all the time. Be it technologically advanced claims of its manufacturing to offers it via a host of features, Jeep’s iconic TrailHawk badge being put on it (which means it is 4×4 ).
Jeep also aims to bring a value for money proposition for its customers as it intends to price it just right and attract a lot of customers in a segment which is ruled to be growing rapidly. The RS. 30 Lakh SUV segment is growing and we expect the SUV to finish in this price bracket rather to begin with it.
Compass is set to be the most exported car already as this is the base where the Right Hand vehicle will be exported to other Right hand markets. Jeep is set to come with a diesel and petrol motor with automatic and manual gearbox on option.
There will be 4×4 options on the top and mid trims which Jeep intends to offer. 4.4 meter in length, the Jeep is very close to the Tucson and Tiguan that have been launched in the country.
FCA has invested 620 crore rupees to make sure Compass is a high quality product for the rest of the world. FCA has already roped in Milind Soman, the ex-model/actor and now an athlete to promote its new Compass SUV>
