The JSW MG Hector Tomahawk EV has been spotted undisguised ahead of its scheduled launch on August 26. Positioned above the standard Hector in MG’s lineup, this 7-seater SUV will be the first model underpinned by the brand’s new ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology) platform. Pricing is estimated to range between ₹18 lakh and ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom).
Expected to share its dimensions with the Indonesian-market Wuling Eksion, the vehicle measures approximately 4,745mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,755mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,810mm. The exterior design features a blanked-off front grille, LED headlamps with dual DRLs, and wraparound tail-lamps. The test mule displayed an olive green and black dual-tone finish, squared-off wheel arches with black cladding, and dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the SUV is expected to feature a beige color scheme and a minimalistic dashboard. Anticipated cabin equipment includes a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 50W wireless charger, and dedicated AC vents for the second and third rows. Safety and driver assistance features are likely to include six airbags, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera system, and an ADAS suite.
Powering the vehicle is a 69.2kWh LFP battery pack connected to a front-mounted electric motor, generating 201hp and 310Nm of torque. This configuration yields a claimed CLTC range of up to 530km and a top speed of 160kph. Once launched, the Hector Tomahawk EV will primarily compete against the Mahindra XEV 9S and the Kia Carens Clavis EV.
