Ahead of its launch, the details of the Kia SUV have been leaked online. According to the leaked brochure, petrol Seltos will be offered in three variants – GTK, GTX, and GTX+. The diesel Seltos, on the other hand, will come in five variants – TE, TK, TK+, TX, and TX+.
Seltos GTK is the base petrol variant and comes powered by 1.4-liter and 1.5-liter petrol engines. The variant gets the features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, LED headlamp with DRLs, tilt and telescopic Steering wheel with mounted controls, push button start/stop system with smart key, music system with Aux-in/FM, and rear AC vents. Seltos GTX is the middle-variant in the range and in addition to the base variant features, it gets six airbags, ambient lighting, 8” heads-up display, 7” multi-information display, 10.25” infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, wireless charging system, and multi-drive modes.
The engine options remains the same while on the transmission front, this middle variant has got 6-speed MT, 7DCT, and 6 IVT auto. The top variant on the petrol Seltos range is GTX+ but the catch here is that it is offered only with 6-speed manual transmission. In terms of features, the GTX+ gets 8-way electrically operated front seats, electric sunroof, 360-degree surround camera parking system, front parking sensors, and 8-speaker sound system from BOSE.
In the diesel range, Seltos TE is the base variant and it’s powered by a 1.5-liter diesel motor. It gets features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD, voice recognition, follow-me headlamps, rear AC vents, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, and the convenience of Bluetooth, auxiliary input, and FM radio with four speakers. One rung above are the Seltos TK and TK+ which get powered by a 1.5-liter diesel engine and mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Additional features available on the variants include the smart key with push-button start-stop system, electrically foldable outside rear view mirrors, and power windows with one-touch up/down convenience. Seltos TX sits above TK and TK+ and features 1.5-liter diesel which is mated only to a manual transmission.
The features on this variant include 60:40 rear seat split, an air purifier, 17” alloys, 10.25” touch screen infotainment system, tire pressure monitoring system. Seltos TX+ is the top variant and features the convenience of both manual and automatic transmissions. In terms of equipment, it offers six airbags, hill-assist, vehicle stability management, 360-degree surround camera parking system, wireless charging, ventilated seats, 8-way electrically adjustable front seats, electric sunroof and multi-drive modes.
