Maruti Suzuki Ignis was launched in the domestic market earlier this year and is based on a new generation platform demonstrating Suzuki Total Effective Control Technology (TECT). Maruti Suzuki’s two pedal technology has proven to be a game changer for them helping them to produce more affordable and fuel efficient cars in the Indian automobile industry.
The Ignis is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The former is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine which is capable of generating 81 bhp at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 113 Nm at 4200 rpm while the latter is equipped with a 1.3-litre DDiS unit which generates 74 bhp at 4000 rpm with peak torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm.
