Nissan Navara India launch could be on the cars as Nissan plans premium cars to roll out in the next few years

Nissan is a well-known Japanese car manufacturer in India for its premium quality cars at affordable prices. As SUV’s are a great demand in the market nowadays, Nissan is readying its Navara-based SUV for the Indian market along with its competitors, The Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. The model was spied in its pre-production guise and although nothing much has been revealed, one could see resemblance in the front which has been taken from the Navara pick up truck. Let’s have a look at the details.

Nissan Navara Engine And Specification

The SUV will come with the same engine options as of the Navara which include the YS23DDT 160.86 HP 2.3-litre turbocharged diesel unit, YS23DDTT 187.67 HP 2.3-litre twin-Turbo diesel unit and the YD25 DDTi 160.86 BHP 2.3-litre turbocharged diesel unit. There are also rumours of the QR25DE 163.54 HP petrol engine option in the SUV. The engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed automatic gearbox. The base-end car will come with a 4×2 drivetrain as standard while the top-end car will have a 4×4 drivetrain which should have fly by shift option as well.

Nissan Navara Interior and Safety

As for the interiors, the car comes with luxurious interiors that give a premium feel. The safety features include ABS, ESP, Active Brake Control, Hill Descent and Hill Hold and 6 airbags are expected.

Nissan Navara Price and Launch

The rumoured SUV could be a hit in the Indian market for Rs. 25 lakhs. As the demand of SUV’s like Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour have increased in the market, Nissan India is trying to establish its name in the SUV segment with the Navara. All in all, the car can be a huge hit once launched in India.
