Renault Captur India Specific Interior reveals it is set to get a large touch screen and the exterior images continue to adorn heavy camouflage

This coming festival season Renault will introduce their all new Captur SUV in the Indian market. The interior of the car has been spied for the very first time. This all new SUV will be the second SUV in Renault’s product line after the Duster and will be positioned above it.

The dimensions of the Kaptur are 4,333mm x 1,613mm and the wheelbase is 2,674mm and the ground clearance stands at an impressive 204mm. The boot capacity of 387 litres can be extended upto 1,200 litres, by folding down the rear seats.

According to the images, the dashboard of the new Renault Captur will get a dual-tone black and beige color combination and body-colored or contrast outlining on the infotainment system and air conditioning vents. The Captur crossover is also equipped with a twin-pod digital instrument cluster and multi-function steering wheel with chrome or silver finishing.

The infotainment system is expected to get a 7-inch MediaNav system compatible with USB and AUX. Other features will include a MID (Multi-info Display) unit, automatic climate control, leather wrapped steering wheel and chrome finished inside door handles.

The Captur will also feature projector headlamps, with C-shaped LED DRL’s (Daytime Running Lights), large front grille, Engine Start-Stop System, rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, brake assist cornering lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels. The car will get ABS and dual-airbags as standard safety features.

The Indian Spec Renault Captur will be based on the Renault Duster, rather than Renault Clio, so we can expect engine options to include the 1.5-litre dci four-cylinder diesel mill with 110 bhp and 245 Nm of peak torque, and a 1.6-litre petrol producing 104 bhp and 148 Nm of peak torque. The upcoming Kaptur will also get AWD (All Wheel Drive) with locking central differential and will be mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

The all new Renault Kaptur is expected to be priced in the bracket of Rs. 11 lakh to 15 lakh, and will take on the rivals like the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Hyundai Creta.
