Tata has recently delivered its electric models, the Curvv.ev and Tiago.ev, to Rashtrapati Bhawan. The company attributes this achievement to the government’s ‘Atmnirbhar Bharat’ initiative, which has helped elevate their product line and branding efforts.
Moreover, the entire Tata.ev range is now available through GeM (Government e Marketplace) for various government departments across India. Tata proudly claims that their EVs boast over 50% Make In India content, qualifying them as a Class 1 supplier under the Public Procurement Policy. They emphasize that their vehicles are rooted in Indian culture and designed to serve the nation’s distinguished institutions.
In terms of their current electric vehicle lineup, Tata offers several models including the Curvv.ev, Punch.ev, Nexon.ev, Tiago.ev, and Tigor.ev. The company also drew attention at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo by presenting its future vehicles and initiatives.
One of the highlights was the upcoming Harrier.ev, which is expected to offer two battery pack options. While detailed specifications remain under wraps, it has been suggested that this electric SUV will feature a dual-motor and all-wheel-drive setup.
Previous glimpses of the Harrier.ev from the Expo and other occasions indicate it might come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. Noteworthy features may encompass a digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a JBL sound system. When it comes to safety, the Harrier.ev is anticipated to include seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS capabilities, a 360-degree camera, and more.
