Tata Nexon JTP will be a performance version of the funkiest looking SUV in the market. A potent chassis can easily handle extra power!

A couple of months ago at the 2018 Auto Expo, Tata Motors unveiled the Tigor JTP and the Tiago JTP. Both the Tigor JTP and the Taigo JTP are the products from the Tata’s joint venture with Jayem Automotives. Hence these vehicles are produced under the JT Special Vehicles banner.

Folks from IndianAutosBlog have created a rendered image of the Nexon JTP. This image shows that the Nexon gets a sporty touch with the wider air intakes at the front bumper, it also gets a side skirt and a front splitter. In addition to this, the Nexon JTP rendered image shows a five-spoke alloy wheel with gunmetal finish and low profile tyres. At the front, the grille and the headlight unit is the same as the stock car, but the fog lamp unit have been lowered towards the bumper lip. The Nexon JTP gets a splash of Calgary white with a silver finish to the roof and the ORVMs wrapped in a red casing.

Just in case the Nexon JTP is launched, it will also be offered with some performance upgrades. Both the engines will be tuned to generate more torque and power. The stock 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine produces 110 PS of power and 170Nm of twist while the 1.5 litre turbo diesel produces 110PS of power and 260Nm of twist.

After the launch of the Tata Nexon last year, it has received an overwhelming response from the Indian customers. Tata has been receiving booking more than 4000 units every month. Tata is also looking forward to introducing an AMT gearbox for the Nexon in the coming months, as of now the Nexon only gets six-speed manual transmission for both the petrol and diesel engines.
