Tata Nexon XZ Variant Launched after customer insight and fills a large gap between the last two variants and offers more value and choice to the customer
Tata Motors will be adding a new trim for its Nexon range and it is named as the ‘XZ’ trim. When launched the XZ trim will be positioned below the top spec XZ+ trim. The Indian auto manufacturer hasn’t announced the prices but it will be soon revealed in the coming days.
According to release, there won’t be many changes aesthetically as Tata Nexon XZ will only include some features and cosmetic changes. The XZ variant will cover up for the space between the XZ+ and XT trims. As compared to the top spec XZ+ trim, the XZ trim will not be equipped with Daytime Running Lights, dual tone roof, rear fog lamps and alloy wheels. Whereas from the cabin the Tata Nexon XZ trim will miss out on Smart key and push-button start, front armrest, rear central armrest, rear defogger and the 60:40 folding rear seat.
Well, Tata Motors will be offering some features such as:
1. Floating Dashtop touchscreen infotainment
2. Reverse camera assist
3. Projector headlamps
4. Height adjustable driver seat
5. Height adjustable seatbelts
6. Android auto
7. Voice command recognition – Phone, Music, Navigation and Climate control
8. Voice alerts: For car functions like Park–brake release alert, seatbelt reminder, low fuel warning, low brake fluid warning, doors/tail gate open alert etc
9. 4 tweeters
10. Text/Whatsapp message readout & reply
11. Image and video playback on Infotainment screen
12. Drive-away locking feature
13. Fabric inserts on Door trims
14. Day/Night Inside Rear View Mirror
Mechanically there are not any changes and Tata Nexon XZ variant will also be powered by the same 1.5-litre turbo diesel and 1.2-litre turbo petrol mill. Both the engines are mated with a six-speed manual gearbox. In addition to this, Tata will also launch the XZ variant with a six-speed AMT transmission which is called as XZA trim. This variant was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and we expect both the variants to be launched together soon.
The Tata Nexon XZ variant will be available in both Petrol & Diesel engine options at a starting price of INR. 7,99,000 for the petrol variant and INR 8,99,000 for diesel variant (Ex-showroom Delhi).
