Volkswagen has unveiled the new Tayron SUV aimed at the global market. The new Volkswagen Tayron replaces the Tiguan Allspace (3-row version). The new Tayron will be sold first in China and then in other markets around the world. The new SUV will arrive in India in 2025. As mentioned earlier, the Tayron is a much-awaited successor to the brand’s next-generation Tiguan model. The Tayron has the same design up front with bright headlights. This will replace the Volkswagen Tiguan All-Space.

Bright bars, aggressive front bumper, big glass all around, big rear alloy wheels and tail lights. Inside, too, the Tayron shares many features and equipment with the new Tiguan, including the dashboard, light trim elements, instrument cluster and large screen for the central infotainment system. The Volkswagen Tayron is based on the brand’s MQB EVO platform, which also underpins the new Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq.

The interior has three screen which seems like the new trend that is coming to fruition in the car market globally. VW will equip this SUV with everything possible including games, wirelessApple car play, android auto, connectivity and SOS features.

It measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,859 mm in width and 1,682 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,791 mm, which is 111 mm longer than the Volkswagen Tiguan. The new VW Tayron SUV is powered by a 2.0 liter TSI engine with different guises. A 2.0 liter diesel engine variant is available in some markets. All electronics come with a 48V mild hybrid setup in either 4WD or 2WD. According to the report, the Volkswagen Tyrone will be manufactured in Germany, China and Mexico. Also, the SUV will be assembled in India via CKD kits to compete with local rivals like Jeep Meridian, Citroen C5 Aircross and Skoda Kodiaq.
