Taking a leaf out of Maruti’s book, Mahindra has started to revamp its existing dealerships for a more premium experience. Dubbed “World of SUVs”, the new format has been launched at around 300 different locations across the country. The company is working on this revamp for the last 6 months and through this new arrangement, it aims to deliver a more personalized purchasing experience to prospective customers. The homegrown SUV maker plans to expand further and has set the target of having these new premium dealerships within 25 kilometers of all major cities in India.
In terms of key differentiating points, prospective buyers will be offered with free Wi-Fi, state of the art customer lounges, and beverage counters. Buyers will be able to see Alturas G4 on a large 86-inch TV monitor for a live, digital experience of the SUV. Well-trained relationship managers will assist the customers in selecting the appropriate model and variant matching best to their needs. The strategy of revamping is less resource-intensive and really makes sense in today’s difficult time that the auto industry is going through.
You will also get Mahindra merchandise and accessories in these showrooms and in order to reduce the wastage of paper, these dealerships will be using digital tabs and panels only. It is important to note that unlike Maruti Suzuki which has developed an altogether different premium dealership format “Nexa”, Mahindra is revamping its existing dealerships to improve customers’ buying experience. The company is working hard to improve its product line too and some of its recent offerings have been able to strike a chord with customers. Especially the sales of compact SUV, the XUV 3OO is quite commendable. Mahindra will soon launch the AMT version of XUV 3OO that will be sold through these new dealerships across the country.
