2017 Renault Duster Sandstorm Edition is yet another limited edition model from the company to keep the sales going as the Kaptur is almost here
Renault has launched the Sandstorm edition of its very popular SUV, the Duster. The SUV is updated cosmetically which now gives the car a more thriving look. The Sandstorm version will clearly stand out from the outgoing model due to its unique exterior paint shades. The Renault Duster Sandstorm edition simultaneously contains body-colored door handles and new bright yellow body graphics on bonnet, ORVMs, front doors and at the rear. The all new graphics and paint scheme make the SUV look expedition ready. In order to keep the buyers interested, the French automaker has come up with the new special edition Duster Sandstorm offer.
The Duster Sandstorm edition also gets a bumper extension up front with round fog lamps fitted into the bumper itself. To add to its rugged look, the Duster Sandstorm gets a matte black grille in place of the regular chrome grille and the new flared wheel arches have been fitted with new diamond cut Zodiac 16-inch alloy wheels. The headlamps get a smoked effect and the sides get a special Sandstorm branding. The new Duster Sandstorm Edition will be available in 3 color options- Outback bronze, Moonlight Silver and Slate Grey.
The Renault Duster Sandstorm Edition will be available in two versions of the 1.5-litre dCi K9K engine- 85 bhp and 110 bhp. The Renault Duster Sandstorm edition has been launched in India at Rs. 10.40 lakh for the 85 bhp variant whereas the 110 hp version is priced at 11.70 lakh. Both the prices are (ex-showroom Delhi). Transmission options for the Duster Sandstorm remain the same as the standard car, the 85 hp model getting a 5-speed manual gearbox and the 110 hp version getting a 6-speed manual. Duster returns an exemplary fuel efficiency of 20 kmpl (ARAI).
On the inside, the SUV gets special dual-tone seat covers with Sandstorm branding on the head rest, which are also to be seen on the floor mats of the SUV, and is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system. On the safety part, the Renault Duster Sandstorm Edition has been loaded with features like dual front air bags and ABS. The newly launched Duster Sandstorm will rival the likes of the Mahindra Scorpio, Hyundai Creta and Honda BR-V. Bookings for the new Duster Sandstorm Edition can be made either at the dealerships or through the Renault Duster app, available on the Google Play store.
