2021 BMW M340i xDrive India Launch Confirmed – Know Dates and Details!

BMW India is all set to expand the 3 Series line-up with a new performance variant soon. The company has already announced that the new M340i xDrive variant will land on Indian shores on 10th March, 2021, and now the feature list for the upcoming luxury sedan has been revealed. The 2021 BMW M340i xDrive India model will sit on top of the 3 Series variant line-up in terms of performance and will be based on the standard wheelbase version and not the Gran Limousine that went on sale earlier this year.

The feature list on the new M340i xDrive will include the SensaTec leather upholstery for the seats, Sport Seats with M Seat Belts, M Leather Steering wheel, M Rear Spoiler, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, Head-Up Display, Apple CarPlay, Gesture control, Wireless Charging, LaserLight, Parking Assistant System, Tyre Pressure Display, and High Gloss Shadow Line. Being an M badged version, the M340i xDrive also gets a bunch of performance upgrades including the M Sports suspension, M Aerodynamic Package, M rear spoiler, M Sport brakes and M Sport differential.

Power on the BMW M340i xDrive comes from the 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder, twin-turbo engine that develops 380PS at 5,500-6,500RPM and 500Nm available between 1,850-5,000RPM. The motor is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels with All Wheel Drive (AWD). The 340i xDrive sprints from 0-100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds. So, yes, the new M badged 3 Series will be one of the most powerful sedans in the segment.

2021 BMW M340i xDrive India bookings will begin in a few days from now. The cars will soon start arriving at showrooms and test drives should begin before the launch. With the new variant, BMW India has a very interesting line-up in the 3 Series family. This includes the frugal and fun diesel engines, the more comfortable GL range, and the now the M340i for the proper petrolhead.
