Recent spy shots indicate that Bajaj has begun testing the new range of Classic motorcycle that are still on sale with N series and NS series of Pulsar’s. These will also co-exist but with a new platform beneath them. The motorcycle features a muscular fuel tank, aggressive tank extensions, and an LED projector headlamp paired with daytime running lights. Staying true to the Classic Pulsar ethos of a strong design! The exhaust is completely out like Classic motorcycles still on sale. Unlike new generation (2021 launched) Pulsar which have under belly exhausts. This cannot be a N125 as the rest of press is reporting.
Meanwhile, the ergonomics are configured for an upright and comfortable riding position, supported by a wide handlebar and mid-set footpegs. Other notable design elements observed on the test mule include a split-seat and grab rail. Further making sure this isn’t out and out sporty like N, NS and RS Pulsar’s.
Mechanically, the Classic Pulsar 125 or 150cc is anticipated to introduce a refreshed air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, estimated to produce around similar power as currently they are. They will be paired with a five-speed gearbox. The chassis consists of a diamond frame suspended by a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. Braking hardware comprises a front disc and a rear drum brake, mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of technology, the motorcycle is expected to be equipped with an LCD digital console featuring Bluetooth connectivity, alongside standard bulb-type indicators. The Classic Pulsar’s will continue to offer nostalgia and offer many markets a new look that they have been asking for. Meanwhile sporty Pulsar’s and Dominar will continue to spruce of the sporty side while Classic Pulsar offers rawness, more muscular look and immense road presence.
