Bajaj Auto has officially listed the 2026 edition of the Avenger Street 220 on its website, carrying an ex-showroom (Delhi) price tag of Rs 1.30 lakh. Following the discontinuation of the smaller Street 160 variant, this urban-focused cruiser and its touring sibling, the Cruise 220, serve as the brand’s entry-level cruiser offerings in the country. The updated motorcycle features distinct aesthetic touches including a revised, lower-set handlebar for a more commanding, street-oriented riding stance, a circular LED headlight complemented by a short smoked visor, and a streamlined single-piece seat equipped with a traditional pillion grab handle rather than a cushioned backrest.
Mechanically, the 2026 iteration remains consistent with its predecessors, drawing power from a trusted 220cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates 19 BHP of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 17.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm, paired with a standard 5-speed gearbox. Damping duties are managed by a conventional telescopic front fork and dual rear shock absorbers featuring 5-step adjustability, while braking is handled by a 280mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum setup, reinforced by single-channel ABS. The cruiser rides on blacked-out alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tires and is available to customers in two distinct paint schemes: Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red.
