BMW Motorrad Sells 150 Units of mostly adventure bikes in the country, this is a very good start for the brand
BMW Motorrad has had a sales of nearly 150 motorcycles ever since the company started productions in India in April 2017. It’s the adventure bikes from BMW which are drawing the most attention. According to sales report, the BMW R 1200 GS and elder brother BMW R 1200 GS Adventure make up almost 60 per cent of the sales.
The R 1200 GS and the advanced GS Adventure are available in three variants each, starting at Rs. 15.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the standard R 1200 GS. Prices for the R 1200 GSA begin at Rs. 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom), going up to Rs. 21.40 lakh (ex-showroom) for the GSA Pro variant.
BMW’s superbike, S 1000 RR has also generated substantial interest in India, mainly from the current sportbike owners. News suggests that current owners of bikes like the Honda CBR 1000R Fire blade are now wanting to up grade to the top-spec BMW sportbike, and many superbike owners have already booked for the S 1000 RR.
BMW Motorrad offers its complete series of motorcycle models in India, across five segments such as the Sports, Touring, Roadster, Heritage and Adventure series. BMW Motorrad is looking to establish dealerships in all major cities across India over the next 10-12 months.
The BMW G 310 R is manufactured in India by TVS Motors at its production facility located in Hosur. TVS is already working on launching the same motorcycle in its own way which will be called the TVS Apache RR 310S.
Till date, there is no guess as to how much the BMW G 310 R would cost but even though it’s a single-cylinder roadster, the G 310 R will be a premium motorcycle, so we can expect ‘premium’ pricing as well. The BMW G 310 R will rivalling against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Duke 250 and Kawasaki Z250 in India. Hope BMW after sales service also provide the best to its customers.
