Euro 5 2021 Ducati Scrambler 800 range is completely renewed with the arrival of a new model, the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift, and the introduction of two new captivating colours: sporty Ducati Red on the Scrambler Icon and “Sparking Blue” livery enriched with red and Iceberg White finishes for the Scrambler Desert Sled.

The Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is a model designed to meet the needs of all those looking for an essential and stylish bike at the same time. A motorcycle that, as inferred by the name chosen, evokes the atmosphere of the night and a boundless sense of freedom, with a straight and narrow handlebar, Cafè Racer mirrors and Full Throttle style number plates. The design of this new example of the “Land of Joy” is characterized by a classic line on which some aggressive notes are inserted with references to the world of the custom garage, such as the absence of the rear mudguard.

The most iconic Ducati Scrambler model, the Scrambler Icon, sees the introduction to the range of the sporty Ducati Red tank colour scheme, alongside the classic Ducati Scrambler yellow with black frame and black seat. The Scrambler Desert Sled, on the other hand, definitely changes its look with the adoption of the new “Sparking Blue” livery enriched enriched with red and white details on the fuel tank and mudguards and gold rims, a tribute to the Enduro bikes of the ‘80s. The new anti-slip lining for the seat, together with the 200mm fork travel and headlight mesh guard as standard underline its true off-road character.

The aluminium of the beefier side panels matches the steel of the teardrop tank and the glass of the headlight. Refined features such as the black-painted crankcases and brushed cylinder head fins make the Ducati Scrambler even more eye-catching.
The headlight with DRL (Daytime Running Light) boosts bike visibility in traffic, even in daylight, as do the auto-off LED indicators. More ergonomic switchgears make it easier for the rider to scroll through the LCD instrument menu, which now includes fuel level info.
The Ducati Scrambler’s wide handlebars, flat seat and renewed suspension set-up merge to provide a more comfortable and relaxed riding position. Cornering ABS maximises active safety during braking, ensuring riders get full-on riding fun. Riders will also appreciate the softer-feel hydraulic clutch control, while the adjustable lever – like the one on the front brake – ensures the lever-handlebar gap can be adapted to individual needs.
The Ducati Multimedia System lets you ride while listening to your favourite music, answer incoming calls or chat with the passenger on the intercom.

The new Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is ready to conquer the streets with its highly iconic style, the sophistication of its lines and the obsessive search for detail. This new model, whose name immediately evokes the atmosphere of the night, fits into the “Land of Joy” as the ideal choice for all those looking for an essential and stylish bike at the same time, with a comfortable riding position, also in the company of a passenger and which allows its owner to experiment through customization.
The Scrambler Nightshift, in Aviator Grey colour, is equipped as standard with a new flat seat in Cafè Racer style, which is comfortable for both the rider and any passenger. The straight and narrow handlebar is added to the Cafè Racer mirrors and Full Throttle style number plates. The bike is also embellished with further aesthetic details, such as the front and rear LED position indicators (approved only for the EU version) and spoked wheels.

The design of this version is characterized by the choice of a classic and authentic line, in which the sportier aspect is emphasized by the absence of the rear mudguard, a characteristic element inherited from the custom garage culture where all not necessarily essential elements are eliminated to ensure particularly clean and sporty lines.
The wheel sizes are those of the Scrambler Icon: 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear, while the standard tyres are the now iconic Pirelli MT60, excellent both for use on asphalt and for having fun on dirt roads. As comfortable as a Full Throttle and as fascinating as a Cafè Racer, the Nightshift is the perfect combination of the two versions that will no longer be available in 2021.

2021_DUCATI_SCRAMBLER_DESERT_SLED

The Desert Sled comes directly from the deserts and mountains of California and offers a fresh take on the off-road bikes of the ’60s and ’70s that made American history. Desert Sleds were American-born bikes that appeared in Southern California and in Baja California, Mexico, in the ’60s and ’70s. These were road bikes with engine displacements of over 500 cc, stripped of any non-essential accessories. Fitted with off-road tyres and spoked wheels, they were also given modified suspension systems and engine skid pans. In fact, it’s the engine skid pan – vital in shielding the bike from rocks, stones and the unforgiving desert terrain – that gave the Desert Sled its name.

Over the years these bikes became a motorcycle category in their own right: until their arrival, no comparable style had ever been seen.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled faithfully revives that spirit – but without abandoning the unique Scrambler lifestyle values. Thanks to the dedicated red frame, swingarm, fork yokes and suspension, the spoked wheels (19″ at the front) and ground-breaking lines, this bike is simply perfect for those who want to get off the asphalt and take a less-beaten track. The off-road capability of the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is also evident in the type-approved headlight mesh guard, high mudguards (specially designed for this version) and, of course, the engine skid pan.

Thanks to a seat with a lining that maintains a height of 860 mm (a 20 mm lower version is available as an optional), adjustable Kayaba suspension (with 46 mm fork diameter) with 200 mm of travel and off-road style footpegs with removable rubber pads, this Scrambler also has a dedicated riding position. Passenger pegs – separated from the rider’s – are removable. The Desert Sled also features an Off-Road Riding Mode that allows disengagement of the ABS.

Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled wheels are of the spoked type with black rims, 19”at the front and 17″ at the rear. They mount Pirelli SCORPION™ RALLY STR tyres, 120/70 R 19 M/C 60V M+S TL up front and 170/60 R 17 M/C 72V M+S TL at the rear. SCORPION™ RALLY STR tyres provide a unique combination of outstanding off-road and Enduro street performance.

For 2021 the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled definitely changes its look with the adoption of the new “Sparking Blue” livery enriched with red and white details on the fuel tank and mudguards and gold rims, a tribute to the Enduro bikes of the ‘80s. The new anti-slip lining for the seat, together with the 200mm fork travel and headlight mesh guard as standard underline its true off-road character.
