Honda, a Japanese multinational company known all over the globe as a manufacturer of automobiles, aircraft, motorcycles and power equipment. The TVS XL 100 produces just 4.3 bhp of power and has a fuel-efficiency of 67 km/l. The XL 100 is made of an all metal body and has the convenience of easy modifications to pull on loads.

The TVS XL100 is upgraded with bigger wheels with spokes. This can tackle broken roads with ease, the kick start option that’s is provided by TVS helps the rider to start the vehicle with minimum effort.

However, the advantage of an electric starter in the Honda Cliq is a huge advantage when compared to TVS XL where the rider has to start with no efforts. The Honda Cliq also has better brakes than the TVS XL100 and the added safety feature of Honda’s Combined Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer is a boon. The USB charging port is also an attractive addition in the Honda Cliq.

The Honda Cliq has a wider foot-board which helps in easy and safer loading of goods, while there is an also an additional carrier which increases the load carrying capacity. The underseat storage will also help the rider get additional storage space unseen in the TVS XL100. The vehicle though gets a built-in carrier with hooks and the carrier can be used more diligently by removing the pillion seat. In utility, the TVS XL 100 wins hands down.

The Honda Cliq is an automatic scooter which wants to take over the semi-urban market with adaptability and convenience but is significantly more expensive than the TVS XL100. The Honda Cliq has a starting price of Rs. 42,990 while the TVS XL 100 is available for just RS. 32,328. Both prices ex-showroom, Jaipur.
