Hyundai Tucson Sport has more power from the petrol motor and is turbocharged to deliver maximum fun and be practical
Hyundai branded vehicles are manufactured by Hyundai Motor Company, which along with Kia comprises the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group. Its Headquarters is situated at Seoul, South Korea. Hyundai operates the world’s largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility in Ulsan, which is capable of producing 1.6 million units annually. The company employs about 75,000 people around the world. Hyundai vehicles are sold in 193 countries through some 6,000 dealerships and showrooms worldwide. In 2012, Hyundai sold over 4.4 million vehicles worldwide. Popular models include the Sonata and Elantra mid-sized sedans.
Over the past few decades, Hyundai Motor Company has consistently delivered cars which elicited high levels of customer satisfaction. Be it the interiors or exteriors, the company’s design and engineering has always occupied a position at the top of its class.
The Hyundai Tucson too stands upto its pedigree when compared to any other SUV on roads today. Recently the President of Hyundai had reported that Tucson would undergo further modifications,in a few years. Meanwhile, the all new Tucson Sport has been released with an adequate engine power of 240 PS which is almost twice than that of Nissan VQ engine’s power.
This project is being developed in South Africa, which is going to be its only market. Now, before you guys get shocked, just take a look at the package in totality as is being offered. Like the Elantra Sport, which is also being launched in South Africa this week.
The Tucson Sport possesses a 1.6 litre turbocharged engine which was available much before and the output has grown from 177 to 204 PS. Unlike bringing the crossover lower to the ground with the help of a new suspension,the body kit route has been chosen. This has led to the insertion of the chin, side skirts, and a rear diffuser.
Indeed, the current Tucson owners have a desire for a similar look for the car, which they have already bought. The local operations’ director, Mr. Stanley Anderson has said that, only Tucson Sport would have this appearance package. Slight modification of the internal combustion engine, to its control unit, otherwise known as its ECU (Engine Control Unit). It is adjusted to yield optimal performance, to increase an engine’s power output, economy, or durability.
It reminds us of a Kia Sportage tuning project from a while back, which leads us to believe that the add-on goodies come from a particular Korean tuner we know. The 19-inch black alloys present in the vehicle, the lighter the wheels are, the faster the vehicle moves.
The only extra character comes from the quad pipe exhaust system and power boost is that the vehicle has been precision tuned to roar when you really want it to. Tucson was successfully launched in South Africa last year, and since then its performance has been remarkably impressive, and it has managed to sell 7,553 units in all. That’s definitely much better when compared to other competing SUVs like RAV4 or Mazda CX-5.
