Maruti Suzuki Celerio Limited Edition is an attempt to offer more to the customers looking out for something special

The Celerio is one of the best selling hatchbacks for India’s leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki. Launched in the year 2014 the car certainly needs a makeover to compete with the current generation models. In order to stand its stead in the ‘first time buyers’ volume small hatchback segment, there has to be some essential changes made and Maruti Suzuki has done the exact same.

Keeping that in mind, Maruti has launched a special edition of the Celerio hatchback newly, called as the Limited Edition. The lately launched Limited Edition Celerio gets additional styling, accessories and equipment. The Limited Edition will be available in the VXi and the ZXi variants and will cost Rs. 11,900 over and above the cost of the variant chosen.

What Maruti has done is now the Celerio comes with a lot of chrome and some graphics on the exterior, While inside the cabin, there are added elements and functional features. Cosmetic changes also include side moulding, chrome garnishes on the headlights, fog lamps, tail-lights, tailgates, door panels and door visors.

As for the interior, we now get a new steering wheel cover, new seat covers, ambient lighting in the foot wells and a tissue box in one of the cup holders. The hatch now comes with parking assist too.

Talking about the numbers the Celerio Limited Edition hatchback from Maruti Suzuki is expected to carry forward the same powertrain as the outgoing model. It continues to draw power from the 1.0-litre, three cylinder petrol engine which is capable of producing 67 bhp and 90 Nm of torque.

The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual or the AMT gearbox, depending on the variant. The Maruti Suzuki Celerio Limited Edition is also available in an optional CNG equipped model for particular cities where CNG stations are available. The CNG variant returns fuel efficiency of 31.79 km/l. The Celerio Limited Edition comes in the market to give tough time to the likes of Tata Tiago in the Indian market.
