Benelli BJ300GS is the sport touring motorcycle from the brand which was being talked about recently. We have received these pictures from an unknown source
Benelli worldwide is ramping up its operations in every way. India is a key market for them after watching the recent success with its premium motorcycles. The manufacturer is making sure it is present in every category. It is present in all cubic capacity and now it wants to make sure it offers even more in the same cubic capacity space as well. After offering the TNT 300 and Tornado 302, The Benelli BJ300GS is set to come in very soon. Slated to come to the Indian market one day or the other, we have the very first pictures of the bike for you. Let’s have a look at the details on offer.
Benelli BJ300GS Design and Dimensions
The major change is ofcourse the new bulbous front fairing. The large and wide face with a single headlamp is not very Italian and rather Chinese. The rear also can be seen with an half fairing which should aid in wind protection and we also expect an adjustable windshield. Top boxes can be seen visible which further make it apparent to make sure it means business when you talk about sport touring.
Benelli BJ300GS Chassis, suspension and brakes
The same trellis frame is seen here with minor changes expevted. The upside down forks, the dual disc brakes at the front backed with ABS will be on offer. We expect some strengthening and stiffening of the chassis to make sure it delivers sporty intent while offering more comfort and practicality in this sport touring avatar. Expect same tyre size at the front and rear which is 110 section at the front and 150 section at the rear. Both will be slapped on 17-inch wheels.
Benelli BJ300GS and Launch
We can probably see this machine for the first time at the Auto Expo 2018 and should come within two years time or may be earlier.
Benelli BJ300GS Engine And Specification
The motor is likely to remain the same. The 300cc motor should be slightly tuned to meet the new role. The additional weight does demand torque and we expect the same to happen, fingers crossed. The 4-valve liquid-cooled engine is known to be refined, sound well and make all its power on the top-end of the rev-range. We expect the weight to go even higher than the current 196 kgs seen on the Torando 302.
Benelli BJ300GS Safety and Features
Expect ABS to be standard on the model. Feature list will include hazard light and information loaded instrument cluster.
Benelli BJ300GS Competition
The motorcycle is likely to compete with the upcoming Versys X-300, Suzuki V-Strom 250
