Toyota Urban Cruiser – Respect Package Announced – More Details Revealed
Toyota Urban Cruiser which is a rebadged Maruti-Suzuki Vitara Brezza has its bookings open for consumers from 22’nd August 2020. Bookings are open for Rs 11,000. The named is inspired after the company’s own iconic Land Cruiser. The Japanese carmaker might go ahead with the launch in the month of August given the ongoing coronavirus pandemic gets under control by then. Toyota has chosen quite a literal name for its new rebadged compact SUV. A SUv made for the Urban city with no off-road capability. Unlike the Glanza, Toyota has made sure this time that its upcoming compact SUV looks different than Maruti’s model it is based on.
Following the overwhelming response from customers to the ‘opening of bookings’ for the soon-to-be-launched Toyota Urban Cruiser, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced a ‘Respect Package’ as an early-movers advantage for customers who pre-book the Urban Cruiser. Aligned with the overall theme for the upcoming Urban Cruiser, the Respect Package is crafted in-line with Toyota’s ‘Customer-First’ philosophy and is initiated keeping in mind the trust & faith our loyal customers have placed on the brand.
As a special gesture towards customers who have shown their faith in Toyota products and have booked the Urban Cruiser before the official launch of the product (before seeing the vehicle or the price), will enjoy “a no-cost periodic maintenance” for up to 2 years*. Over the years, customers have bestowed their trust in Brand Toyota and this gratitude program aims to respect their faith in the brand.
The all-new Toyota Urban Cruiser is bundled with the renowned Toyota experience through the superior warranty of 3year/100K Kms & extended benefits like express service of EM60, a warranty extension and other convenience services like WhatsApp communication.
Toyota Urban Cruiser will get the K-Series 1.5 litre four-cylinder Petrol Engine. The Urban Cruiser will be available in both Manual & Automatic Transmissions (AT) and all AT variants will be equipped with an advanced Li-Ion battery with an ISG- Integrated Starter Generator (Torque assist, regenerative braking & idle start-stop). For reference, Brezza comes with ARAI rated 17.03 kmpl and 18.76 kmpl for its manual (non-hybrid) and automatic (hybrid) versions respectively.
The exteriors of the car will get a two Slat Wedge Cut Dynamic Grille with Chrome & a Trapezoidal Bold Fog Area. It will be further accompanied with Dual Chamber LED Projector Headlamps, with dual function LED DRL-cum–indicators and LED fog lamps. Customers will also have the option of 16-inch Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels and an exciting choice of vibrant colours in dual-tone, including a unique brown colour.
Toyota Urban Cruiser will get Dual-Tone Dark Brown premium interiors, ergonomically laid out wide and spacious cabin, Smart Entry with Engine Push Start/Stop Button and Auto AC. The Toyota Urban Cruiser will be loaded with high-end features such as Smart Playcast touchscreen audio with Android Auto/Apple Carplay and Smartphone-based Navigation, Rain Sensing Wipers, Cruise Control and Electrochromic Inside Rear View Mirror (IRVM), all combining to provide an exhilarating ride and great comfort.
It is interesting to know that Toyota Urban Cruiser will be rolled out from the same assembly line on which Vitara Brezza is produced. Prices are expected to be in the same range as Brezza which retails between Rs 7.5 lakh and Rs 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Toyota, however, will sweeten the deal by offering more features in the top version of Urban Cruiser in addition to equipping it with a longer warranty period just like the Glanza.
