Ameo Highline Plus will be another edition as the Vento Highline Plus variant paved a successful path for the Ameo to join in

Volkswagen is making sure it takes the premium market by storm in one way or the other. Launching premium cars in the higher category like the Polo GTi and Tiguan and cars like Passat and new generation Jetta are on their way to make sure that is inline with the strategy. Polo, Vento and Ameo are also receiving same treatment despite they being the affordable cars for the market.

However, there is demand always for bigger things in smaller forms. High-end trims now command over Rs. 5 lakhs of difference from base variant and VW want to make sure it taps that part of the market. After offering the traditional three variants, the manufacturer is now offering a higher variant of the already well equipped car. The Ameo Highline Plus speaks for itself from its name. It will offer more over the Highline variant.

The exterior is the same as before as there are no changes on offer. The design continues to be based on the Polo and the stubby boot make it an Ameo. What will differentiate is the 16-inch wheels which is available above the new Highline plus variant as well.

The interior also offers the same features as the Highline variant and it now offers reversing camera, revised infotainment system and 16-inch wheels. Cruise control, rain sensing wipers, auto down windows, mirror link, Voice command and much more is on offer with the Ameo.

The manufacturer isn’t offering the 1.2 TSi with the DSG yet with the Ameo. It continues with the Polo and Vento though. Prices begin at Rs. 7.35 Lakhs and 7.45 Lakhs with the 16-inch wheels. We will bring you more details as soon as we get it.
