2017 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX Design and Dimensions
The new side fairing panels are new, bigger and have aerodynamic aids. There are new fins which are taken from H2 and H2R parts bin to make sure it cuts the air better and ends up providing more fuel economy and lesser emissions. The design is more sharper. The front-end headlamp fairing is all new.
It gets sharper lights. Rear is all new with new tail-lamps. Exhaust remains similar to what they were before. The Z1000 SX kind of reminds us of the previous generation model. They have said to improve the spread of the light by a big margin on the side as well as the front in low and high beams both.

Perimeter frames continue to be a part of this tourer. The minor changes to the suspension dampening is done on both ends. The tyres are the same as before. Dual petal disc brakes at the front and single disc brake at the front continue. Comfort has been increased as the seats are wider and thicker by 25 mm.

Except displacement, everything inside has changed. The new engine internals with pistons, cranks and timing of everything has been changed. Clutch packaging has been improved. Smoother power delivering, same horsepower and torque numbers and yet providing EURO 4 emission and fuel efficiency standards is high price. 142 PS and 111 Nm of torque are the numbers. There is no word of weight loss for now. There are three riding modes to choose from.
